CSEET & EXECUTIVE


Company Secretary is a professional in the field of corporate governance and corporate law. All the legal compliances that a company has to comply with right from incorporation to winding up, everything is done by the CS. A CS is a link between the board of directors and the shareholders. Every company (subject to the criteria mentioned by ICSI and companies act) is required to appoint a full time company secretary. A practicing CS also conducts secretarial audit, which is also mandatory to a certain class of companies.
In order to become a CS, you must clear three exams.

1. CSEET
A student can appear for the CSEET exam after passing their 12th standard or an equivalent 10 + 2 Senior Secondary examinations. Duration of CSEET Programme is 3 months, excluding the months of admission and the examination. Exams are conducted 4 times in a year. Subjects :
English and Business Communication
Economics and Statistics
Financial Accounting
Elements of Business Laws and Management

2. CS Executive
Executive Programme can be pursued by a Graduate of all streams except Fine Arts. There are 8 paper divided into two modules or groups.

Jurisprudence interpretation and general law
Company law
Setting up business entities
Taxation
Group 2 :
Accounts
Financial management and strategic management
Economic commercial and business laws
Securities law and capital markets

3. CS Professional Professional Programme can be pursued only after clearing the Executive Programme of CS Course. There are 9 papers divided into 3 Modules in CS Professional Programme.
